FreeGraphics.org is an evolving project started by graphic enthusiats. The
profits from the sometimes annoying ads you see on every page are used to pay for some of
the hosting costs of FreeGraphics.org. Because thousands of people download graphics and
html files every day, the cost of hosting this site can often be overwhelming. While the
profit from banner ads alleviates some of this cost, in these times, when banner ads yield
less and less, the cost of hosting is actually more than the cost we make from ads alone.
This is why we need your help...
Many people have donated to freegraphics.org. These donations are what allows us to
keep this site running. If each satisfied visitor donates 1.00, the suggested amount which
isn't too much (at least we think so), it will allow us to keep this site up and explore
other options.
Your donation will help us provide better service to our graphic-hungry visitors.
Here's what we're currently doing with the donations we receive:
- Improving our servers, by exploring dedicated server packages with varying
hosting companies
- Purchasing licenses to software packages to create higher quality graphics
- Paying our current hosting fees and insuring a small reserve for months
when banner ads don't yield enough.
- Purchasing Scripts that can help us improve this site, including cgi
and php scripts.
Or if you would prefer, your donation may go to anything that you would like
to improve on our website. In any case, If you've used our graphics on a commercial
website, or have profited from our graphics, then we ask you show your appreciation and
acknowledge our services by donating.
